day eleven - make it up

day 11 of the blog challenge asks what is in my makeup bag.  Well, let me just say, I am cheap.  So, I have a hard time buying glamorous expensive makeup.  Also, I am guilty of using a tube of mascara until it is completely dried out and empty.  I have found some fantastic products that work with my budget (cheapness).

The colors of the products below aren't necessarily the ones I use, just picture I could find.

This creamy COVERGIRL foundation makes skin look flawless.

I use this CG eyeshadow in 'champagne' as a highlight shade

Though it doesn't exactly look like false lashes, I love the length and volume this mascara adds to my lashes.

I use the Maybelline liner in dark brown.  I like the spongey blending tool on the end.

This NYC creme blush stick is really pretty and blends in perfectly.  The one I use is more pink than the photo.

I like this NYC  lipgloss to take away some of the natural red of my lips.

gotta have a CURLER!

I like this maybelline eyeshadow, it looks especially rich and creamy if you use the applicator they provide, instead of a brush.  They have great color combos too.

So, that is my two cents!

blog challenge catch up

Well, I'm extremely behind on my 30 day blog challenge, but I really want to continue, so I will do it now.  I am going to catch up on a few days today.

Day 8 - A song to match my mood.

Day 9 - A photo of the last item I purchased.

The hat... I didn't exactly buy the hat, but the yarn to make it.  It turned out super cute and only took a couple of hours to crochet.  I'm only know the very basics of crochet and had no problem making the hat using this video by Threadbanger.

Day 10 - My favorite place to eat.

Throughout all of our traveling, I have one place I truly miss and crave while away from Utah.  Good ol' Cafe Rio.  I could DIE over their pulled pork burritos and especially the SALAD.  It beats all of the competitors, hands down.  Cafe Rio is the legitimate BEST.  Plus, who doesn't love being embarrassed when you earn enough punches on your punch pass to have everyone yell "FREE MEAL!!!"?  I love it.

day seven, dream wedding

Does it really matter if I skip a few days before adding the next post?  I think not.  Its been a crazy week, let me just say that.  I'm sure I'll vent about that at a later date.

So, day seven of the blog challenge is my dream wedding.  I LOVED my wedding.  I really did.  I guess if I were to change anything, it would be the colors and decor.  I could go on forever with fabulous color combinations and interesting personal touches.  But you know, what it really comes down to, is who I spent my wedding day with.  I wouldn't wish for a different groom, and that is what makes the perfect wedding day.

day six

day six: an animal I'd love to keep as a pet.

When I was little, I remember looking at animal books and being captivated by the tropical animals.  I don't know why, but I very specifically loved the Ocelot.  I always thought they were super cute and cuddly looking.  I'm sure if I met one face to face, I'd disagree.  Because this was my favorite animal as a child, I wanted to include it here on my blog.  Shout out to the Ocelot!

I'm really not a fan of cats... at all, so even though these little guys are so cute, I don't think I could handle it.  If I could choose a grown up animal to keep as a pet, well I would have to say I have the best pets ever.  They are a little cranky sometimes and chew on my stuff.  I wish they wouldn't shed, but they sure are sweet to me.  I love my Toby and Olive!

day five

day five of the blog challenge (see previous posts for details) is a picture of myself two years ago.  Let me think where I was two years ago... three months into my marriage, we were living in Roy, Utah.  It was almost our first Christmas.

Here we are at temple square:

day four

The fourth day of the blog challenge is my favorite picture of my best friend.  I'm counting this as girl friend and not husband-best-friend.

This was us, summer 2008, at a giant slip and slide.  We love each other, obviously.

day three

So, day three of the 30 Day Blog Challenge asks for my idea of the perfect first date... since I've been married for a couple of  years, this idea of first dates is totally alien.  So, I want to talk about the perfect date for me and Greg... right NOW.

Especially since being pregnant, I have been so overjoyed with my little family.  I love nothing more than quality time with Greg, even if it is just hanging out, catching up on the latest episode of 'The Office' or the seasons of 'LOST'.  Though I might act annoyed, I enjoy when he lays his head in my lap and falls asleep, completely exhausted and vulnerable.  It is so good to be in love with a great man.  I can't wait for many many more at-home-dates, especially as our baby is born and our love expands that much more.

day one

Day one: a picture me and how my day went.

Today started rather uneventful and ended up quite fun. I slept in until about ten o'clock... I didn't feel like getting up, so instead I stayed in bed and read the next chapter in "Your Pregnancy, week by week". We're at the beginning of the ninth week! Greg called needing me to look up something, so I finally got out of bed :) I spent some time on facebook and tried to install a new blog template (fail). Picked up the house and watched some Harry Potter. Got an iPhone 4. Our new friends Jason and Brittany came over for pizza with their daughter Kaymi. All in all, a great and relaxing Saturday!

This picture was taken on the iPhone 4... Also, I'm trying to figure out mobile blogging... I really can't wait!

30 days of blogging

My dear friend Callie stole the idea of the 30 day blog challenge, and now I am stealing it from her.  But let me just say... reading Callie's blog is always entertaining, usually inspirational, and so much fun.  She has a way with words, so you'll probably want to keep tabs on her 30 day blog challenge here and see her amazing photography work here.

The whole idea behind the blog challenge is to learn a little more about yourself and let others know some things about you too.  Hopefully some of my friends will decided they want to do the blog challenge too!  Why I hope you do?  Because I love reading your blogs!!  So do it!
