NYC

It was a day of fun, adventure, bargaining, walking, riding, eating, seeing, feeling, experiencing, bonding, friendship, doing, going, smiling, snapshooting, and LOVING.

We spent a day in New York City.  It was only one day, but one of the best all summer.  A bunch of us from APX crammed into two cars, then two hotel rooms, to spend a memorable day in the Big Apple.  All in all, the day went without any problems.  It did start raining in the evening, cutting out some things toward the end, but we still saw lots and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Favorite memory: cruising around Times Square with Greg, just taking it all in.  And a close second place goes to Canal Street... watching Katie bargain her butt off!
Least favorite memory: the darn rain.  It really was too bad.  (and my cramps, TMI)
Funniest memory: Kindra saying to the black market guy when we wanted to look at purses in their basement "As long as you don't molest us we'll be okay."
Best traveling buddy: DEFINITELY my hubby.  He stood by me and made everything more enjoyable.
What I wish we could've had time for: Rockefeller Center, Ellis Island, Serendipity III, some NYC pizza, Radio City Music Hall, a Broadway production, Sacs 5th Avenue, That one giant toy store, some real time in Central Park, the Chrysler Building.  I'm afraid the list could go on and on.  But for now, faretheewell New York City!

and now... what you've been waiting for....

getaway

Last night Greg surprised me with a little overnight getaway to the Washington DC LDS temple!!!

He booked us a nice hotel for only $50.00 (because he is the REAL priceline negotiator)...the Crowne Plaza in Rockville, MD.  The guy at the hotel said he hasn't ever seen a room go for so cheap.  They are usually $170.00 on weeknights.  So basically, we got a rockin deal.  We left our apartment around 10:30, stopped for dinner at Bdubs (Buffalo Wild Wings, our favorite) and drove down to the hotel.  It took about an hour and a half to get there, so we sank into our big bed (with very crappy pillows) around 12:30.

The plan was to get up very early, hit up a session at the temple, drive around DC and see a few things, and make it back for Greg to go to work today... FAIL.  Next plan, wake up at 7:00 a.m. and only have time for the temple, and get back for work early... FAIL again.  Third time is a charm.  We slept in until 9:30 (with no puppies there to wake us earlier), grabbed some lunch at Chipotle, then went to a session, and finally made it home for Greg to go to work.

THANK YOU THANK YOU BABE!!  YOU ARE THE BEST!

laughs

Laughter IS the best medicine... I don't care what anybody says.  I found these videos from back when Greg and I were dating... totally childish and extremely hilarious (we thought), I love hearing us laugh and laugh and laugh!  (oh, probably scroll to the bottom of my page and turn off the music)
