i win! i win!

Lately I've been going along, waiting for our lives to move forward.  Greg has been working out of state and I am trying to stay busy creating and crafting.  We're getting ready to head out with Vivint (new name for APX) for the summer.  I've spent loads of time just thinking about this little bean growing inside of me.  Some days I sleep in, and some days I watch too much TV.  Frankly, I've been up to a lot of sitting around bored.  Sometimes it just happens right?

Well, a small fraction of my time also is dedicated to blog hopping.  I love finding fun and creative blogs to get some ideas.  One blog I follow is Free Pretty Things For You.  They feature tons of giveaways, do-it-yourself craft ideas, and free digital vintage frames and clipart.  SO creative and cute.  AND GUESS WHAT!!?  They actually give away some great stuff!!

I have always been a huge fan of Pandora radio.  I've loved how I just enter an artist, and by giving the thumbs up to a couple of songs, Pandora knows just what I like!  I've even been able to find new artists who I like, and hey, how else would I have found them?

But you know, lately I've been wanting more new music.  I would say I tend to listen to more independent type music... indie rock, acoustic, folk... There is something about these types of music that connect.  Maybe its the history of guitar and bluegrass in the relationship between my dad and I.  Anyhow, sometimes it is hard to find new artists and songs. 

I was surfing the web via http://www.stumbleupon.com/ (which is a whole other love of mine) and came across a music site called http://www.8tracks.com/.  I cannot express how in love with it I am.  On the site,  you can narrow down the type of music you like by genre.  Then, members create an 8 track playlist with a certain theme.  These playlists are narrowed down as you search by genre.  Let me just say.  These people are geniuses.  I haven't found a better place yet to share new music and be able to listen to the entire songs. 

I just had to share this little gem, I hope someone loves it as much as I do.

shabby summer

So, summer is coming pretty soon and got me thinking about my favorite thing.  Being outdoors.  I love swimming and letting the rays shine down and fill me with endorphins and vitamin D.  The summer sun doesn't come without the bright colors and fresh design of summer clothes.  Best ever.  So, I thought I'd give a little shout out to Shabby Apple and their adorable, modest dresses and swimsuits.  Visit their site here and see an awesome earring giveaway here.
